HOW CAN YOU GET THE SOFTWARE?

It is our intention to make WorkWORLD software available to as many potential users as possible. Having the software is necessary to participate in future distance learning modules, so it is a good idea to become generally acquainted with it at this time. We encourage you to complete the "User Agreement" that is posted on the website at http://WWW.WORKWORLD.ORG/howtogetWW.html. This will allow you to order the WorkWORLD CD and install the software on your computer. Or, after you complete the agreement, you may wish to download the software directly from the site at http://WWW.WORKWORLD.ORG/DownloadMain.html.

We are currently seeking additional people to serve as users of the current and future versions of WorkWORLD software. Our desire is to have an extremely diverse group of people using the software, consisting of non-professional consumers, parents, friends, advisors, and other interested persons, as well as professionals such as rehabilitation, employment, and benefits counselors, financial planners, trainers, and others. We want users who represent a wide range of disability groups, and are geographically located in all States.

It is feedback from people who use WorkWORLD in real situations that guides future development and enhancement of the software. We encourage you to become a part of this process.

Once you have the software installed on your computer, we encourage you to review the WorkWORLD tutorial (accessed in the software through the "Get Started" menu item). This will help you gain a basic understanding of the software's functions and capacities and will help you understand references to features of the software that are used throughout the curriculum.

Future instructional modules will provide in-depth training about how to use the software, navigate various options, and interpret specific WorkWORLD results, with a focus on use of the software's Help/Information System. Advanced learning modules will help individuals become expert users of the software to develop their own cases and to develop strategies for using decision-support technology in creative ways.
