Pennsylvania provides State Supplements to Federal SSI benefit payments for residents in one of the living arrangements specified in the table below.
The Social Security Administration (SSA) provided the data shown in the table. Contact your local SSA Claims Representative for further details about eligibility and benefit levels. See the topic "Contacting the Social Security Administration" to find out how to get information or help from SSA.

Unless otherwise stated, payment levels apply equally to people who are aged, people with blindness, and people with disabilities. Benefit amounts are usually adjusted annually, and become effective January 1st. The table shows monthly payment levels for calendar year 2008.

G - Living in a Domiciliary care facility for adults (DOMCARE) - Includes adult recipients (aged 18 or older) certified by the State to be residing in non-medical residential care facilities.
H - Living in a personal care boarding home (PCBH) - Includes adult recipients (aged 18 or older) certified by the State to be residing in non-medical residential care facilities, licensed by the Department of Welfare as a personal care boarding home. The facility offers supervision in personal care matters. It can be a for-profit facility.

Optional State supplement provided to every aged, blind, and disabled person who receives SSI payments or would receive them but for excess income. Persons residing in public institutions or in certified medical facilities where Medicaid is paying more than 50 percent of the cost of care are not eligible for supplementation. Blind and disabled children are eligible for optional supplementation, except for domiciliary care and personal care homes where they must be age 18 or older.
